Dear ACSI Partners in the ministry:
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21
The glowing testimonies from student leaders attending the High School Student Leadership Conferences greatly encourage us, strengthening our faith that Christian schooling does make a difference. Praise God for His guidance and Holy presence in our conferences. We give Him back all the glory and the honor.
Our August enabler entitled “Classroom Management by Design: Effective Discipline” in ongoing. We received very good reports about the ones just concluded (Cagayan de Oro - Aug. 1, and Tacloban - Aug. 3). Twelve others are scheduled throughout the country; encourage your teachers; send them to these enablers.
Our next major event, the 2009 Teacher Conferences, will have as speakers Dr. Dan Egeler, ACSI Vice President for International Ministries, Dr. Carl Kerby, Founding Board Chair of Answers in Genesis, Dr. Perla Rizalina Maturan Tayko, Outstanding Silliman Alumni awardee and Organizational Development specialist, and our own Dr. Janet Nason. Please mark the following dates for these conferences and send all your teachers to participate:
October 23-24 – Davao Christian High School, V. Mapa St., Davao City
October 26-27 – Jubilee Christian Academy, E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City
October 29-30 – Bacolod Christian College, San Juan-Luzuriaga Sts., Bacolod City
Early bird registrants pay the discounted price of P800.00 if submitted on or before October 3. Please mail or fax your Registration Form to the ACSI Philippines office.
We relentlessly pursue our mission of “enabling Christian schools and educators worldwide to effectively prepare students for life.” This requires determination and needs resilient school boards, administrators, teachers, and personnel who are determined to persevere because they care for God’s people and teach selflessly to transform students and to make a difference.
We are excited as the events unfold and reveal God's handiwork. Our faith is secure for our God is steadfast and sure.
The ACSI Children At Risk Program will soon be piloted in Manila. Dr. Alan McIlhenny trained 22 volunteers from 9 schools in April. We pray that this will open the way to expanding our horizon to benefit marginalized children.
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (I Cor. 15:58, NKJV).
Blessings!
